ChicagoLand Glider Council
Youth Grant

Herb Kilian (CLGC President) presenting Trevor Lee with the Youth Grant certificate of achievement for 2011

The ChicagoLand Glider Council has been providing grants to its youth members since 1997. The grants are intended to help the youths to further their soaring training and to attain certifications.

The current year's (spring) grant application is available here.
The application is available in October of the prior year.

The grant award committee is made up of the current CLGC board. Grant funds may be used for any glider related activities. The grant is awarded at the final Chicagoland Glider Council "off-season" meeting in the spring of each year, generally March of the grant year. Grant funds are paid to, and adminstered by, the awardee's home soaring organization. The decision of the CLGC Grant Review Committee is final.
